Another Month

Wow, the latest update was a month ago. Looks like I’m really struggling, but not as much as my 7 years old MacBook Pro is. In the near future I will need a new computer. But I rather talk about California or Utah than computers. Last post was all about changing California to Finland this summer, but I still miss California. We have an office in Oxnard and I’ve been wanting to do a week of working vacation there.

The last post was all about being excited about going back to Finland, but the pictures were from last August California trip, Sequoia National Park. After Sequoia, we continued to King’s Canyon. The hike we had originally wanted to do to another waterfall turned out to be a bad idea since we heard the waterfall was not going, so we opted to Mist Falls instead.

Here we got a nice reminder why it’s cool to hike in groups. Me and my husband returned to the car the same route we came from, his friend INSISTED taking a different route. We tried to talk him out of it, wanting to get moving since it was almost dusk. He still decided to take a different path back. In the car I started to be quite annoyed that a walk just a little bit longer than ours was taking him forever. When he finally got to the car he was all worked up. He met a bear. Harmless encounter this time, but a good reminder to never hike silent, stayย with your group, pay attention to the trail and carry some nice bear spray. Although, at that point after waiting I was probably more annoyed than the bear.
