Denver Flea Market

When you have to stand in a line and pay five bucks for admission and that admission fee includes a craft beer, you know you’re not going to a traditional flea market. Denver Flea Market┬átakes place 3-4 times a year, and since our hiking routes are still pretty much covered in snow, we decided to check it out.

Once we got past the long admission line, it was actually not that bad. Yes, there were a lot of people and sometimes we had to wait to get to see what the vendors actually had for sale, but I didn’t get claustrophobic! I don’t know if I’m growing up and calming down or if having a beer on my hand helped. Adult pacifier.

The best and most interesting thing we saw at the market were these dioramas by Scott Hildebrandt. I would love to buy a miniature familiar Denver landmark in a vintage camera, or even better, a camping scene in an old clock. If you ask me, it’s always camping o’clock.
