Detail shots from the Chaco Canyon trip. I’m quite proud that I didn’t make any another brick in the wall joke in this post. It still feels to me that cacti are something that grow in exotic, southern environment, maybe in New Mexico and Arizona, when in reality the closest wild ones grow just down the street from us.

      Once again, thank you. Yes, having cacti nearby is wonderful. I had no idea they would grow on the side of the road in downtown Denver or survive Colorado winter. And I know, Colorado winter is not that bad for someone who grew up close to the Arctic Circle, but I would’ve thought it’s harsh for the little cacti.
