It’s hard to wrap your mind on how huge the ruins in Chaco Canyon are until you really see them. This was our second visit. The place just still blew my mind. The complex stone work on the walls, how the windows are aligned to let the sunshine in the inner rooms, the staircases leading up the canyon wall. I feel like it’s the one of the lesser sknown national parks in the US national park system, and one of my favourite ones.

I know, there’s so much to see. I don’t think we will live in Colorado for the rest of our lives, so I want to see everything in the Southwest before we leave. Although I’m so in love with the Four Corners region that I don’t think we are moving anywhere anytime soon.
